Mission statement: Northwest Youth Services supports and promotes healthy development of youth within their families and communities.

Primary Focus: Therapeutic/treatment-based foster care including Assessment Program, Long-Term Care Program, and SafeHome temporary shelter for runaway and homeless teens.

Geographical representation: Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom, Island and San Juan County

GLBT friendly: yes - nearly 20% of agency's foster homes include gay or lesbian parents.

Parenting/other classes: Monthly foster parent training, support groups for both foster and birth families.
